Fun in the Sun

I have amazing friends. And I had an amazing bachelorette in Puerto Rico with these amazing friends.

Every detail was planned to a T, the weather was beautiful and we had plenty of laughs and cocktails (in super cute cups)!

I highly recommend the El San Juan hotel, it was the perfect place for us to relax and have a fabulous weekend. One night was spent downtown in Old San Juan, an old cobblestoned town filled with great little restaurants and plenty of sangria! The other was spent enjoying a nice dinner followed by a long night of dancing and partying in the hotel’s club- which I haven’t done in a long, longgg time so it was an absolute blast.

The girls thought of everything- we had matching aviator glasses, party toys, a blow up man doll that we had way to much fun with, and tons of little surprises throughout the weekend. It was truly the best weekend away.

Lately…

Hello!

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve found myself on here! Life has been a whirlwind lately of finishing up wedding planning (3 weeks to go!), celebrating, being a bachelorette in San Juan, and attending a wonderful Bridal Shower thrown for moi. I will be sharing highlights of all this soon!

My kitchen has been quiet on the new recipe front, not much time for trying new things- I’ve been sticking to quick old faithfuls that I can make effortlessly. But I do have a lemon sugar cookie recipe coming up that I made around Easter time, they were delicious so I must share.

We leave for ITALY the Monday after our wedding and I have been busy shopping, reading up on restaurants and planning fun things to do while we are traveling. Rome-Florence-Capri-Positano-Ravello: suggestions, must-do’s, thoughts, please do share in the comment section!

I’m finally at a point where everything is pretty much done for the big day. It’s a great feeling to finally be ready to sit back and get excited to become a Mrs.!

Spring has been kind of iffy here in New York, but I’ll leave you with a pretty shot of the flowers lining Park Avenue, so quintessential.

Signs of Spring

Spring is very slowly making its way here. Some days are warm, some still chilly, it’s lighter longer and everything is starting to bloom.

There are birds chirping early in the morning and I wake up feeling energized and ready for the day- so much more pleasant then my alarm.

If only the temperature could stay above 60, it would officially feel like spring has arrived.

Everything looks so fresh and pretty this time of year.

This is definitely my favorite season.
